Our Greek team, along with participants from Turkey, Lithuania , Portugal, Romania , and Spain , was thrilled to take part in an Erasmus+ project in Gran Canaria! This initiative brought together young people from diverse backgrounds to explore dance as a universal language of learning, teaching, and inclusion.
Through workshops, cultural exchanges, and collaborative performances, we developed dance tutorials of each country, fostering intercultural understanding, and promoting social inclusion through movement and expression.
This experience highlights the power of dance to connect people beyond borders, breaking language barriers and celebrating diversity.

My experience in the Regrowing Roots Through Rhythm and Dance Erasmus program in Gran Canaria (March 25-30, 2025) was truly transformative. We had the joy of connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, learning about their cultures through their dances, and discovering deeper aspects of their identities—and even of ourselves. Through movement, rhythm, and shared energy, we found new ways to communicate beyond words, creating bonds that transcended language and nationality. The experience was not only about dance but also about self-exploration, as we became more aware of our own bodies, emotions, and ways of expression. Exploring local traditions, tasting Canarian cuisine, and immersing ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Las Palmas made this journey even more enriching. I leave with unforgettable memories, a deeper appreciation for cultural exchange, and a newfound understanding of how movement connects us all.

"Regrowing Roots - Nurturing Inclusion Through Rhythm and Dance " was an amazing event that fulfilled all of my expectations. We had the opportunity to learn about traditional dances of various European countries, explore our bodies through musicality and explore an island of significant beauty.
